There goes another week of quarantine done and dusted, as we adjust to our ‘new normal’. As with all things, tough times are only temporary, and this unprecedented crisis has given us space to reflect on ourselves, our collective actions as a society and most of all begs the question - what will life look like after this?
The emergence of e-mobility has changed the way people travel and move. Electric Vehicles (EV) are one part of this network, and are a great way of reducing one's carbon footprint. From a consumer point of view, charging an EV vehicle looks simple enough - simply plug and play. However, there’s so much more that goes into putting together an EV charging system than meets the eye. Systems aside, there is a mish-mash of regulations and codes to comply, which can quickly feel like putting together one of those 1000 piece puzzles that have swiftly gained popularity now that we’re in lockdown.
I wanted to make it easy to understand the current regulatory landscape for EV charging infrastructure and to simplify the process of establishing a transparent and tamper-proof billing process for vehicle owners using charging stations.
