Fan Fun

Sadly, the Open is over for another year. Fans made the most of their Australian Open experience, with plenty of action across Grand Slam Oval. ANZ, Kia and Jacobs Creek were among some of the sponsors who got involved, engaging fans with their brands through activations, games and photo opportunities, not to mention freebies and prize draws for all.

@ The Open

This year’s Open saw the biggest technology activation in Australia. Seven brands were involved this year including Medibank, Cadbury and Cardio Tennis. By registering upon entry to Melbourne Park, fans were able to tap their lanyard on the prominent tap towers around the grounds and instantly share their experiences through social media as well as interact with the brands.

Attendance

Attendance for the Men’s Final reached 25,061. This was a second Sunday record, with the previous record standing at 22,098 from Australian Open 2009.

Attendance for Australian Open was 684,457, with the previous record standing at 686,006 for Australian Open 2012.
